Life’s twists and turns led me to finally putting me first…something I have never done in my life and boy, I am STOKED! I love writing songs about life; transparency is key and you can’t lead people to places you’ve never been.
Sometimes, you can lose yourself and forget your own worth, when your life has revolved around helping others. This journey that I am now on has forced me to cut ties with the OLD me. The old me that would never say no. The old me that would do a lot of self-sabotage. The old me that would feel selfish if I thought about me for a second. The old me that never took time to relax, reset, recharge and have chill moments. You can make yourself sick when you don’t take care of you…that was me. Yep, I was that girl.
Part of me learning, growing, and evolving is no longer making people a priority in my life who only see me as an option. I LOVE WHO I AM BECOMING!
To anyone who can relate: Learn to FORGIVE YOURSELF, DITCH THE GUILT, and have the COURAGE to say no when needed.
